Local Grand Jury issues indictments for assault, fleeing crimes

A Christian County Grand Jury issued indictments for assault, endangerment and fleeing-related crimes on Friday.

Forty-one-year-old Darnita Gordon of Hopkinsville was arrested after she reportedly assaulted a woman and cut her with a butcher knife during an altercation on July 8. Gordon was indicted for first-degree assault domestic violence.

Thirty-three-year-old Christopher Curry of Nashville was arrested for a slew of charges after he reportedly led law enforcement on a pursuit on July 26. He was indicted for first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree fleeing or evading police, possession of marijuana while armed, tampering with physical evidence, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, failure to use a child restraint device in a vehicle, possession of an open alcohol container in a vehicle and other traffic offenses.

Twenty-five-year-old Hilman Coronado-Zapet of Clarksville was arrested for multiple charges after he reportedly led law enforcement on a pursuit on July 11. He was indicted for first-degree fleeing or evading police, second-degree criminal mischief, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, having no operator’s license, possession of an open alcohol container in a vehicle, disregarding a traffic control device and speeding.

Twenty-two-year-old Marsean Wardell of Hopkinsville was arrested after he was reportedly clocked driving 103 MPH in a 70-MPH zone and then led law enforcement on a pursuit on June 20. He was indicted for first-degree fleeing or evading police, possession of marijuana, possession of restricted ammunition, operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or a substance, reckless driving and speeding.

Thirty-two-year-old Jordan Hairston of Clarksville was arrested he led law enforcement on a pursuit on July 24. Law enforcement was pursuing Hairston because he was reportedly wanted for attempted murder out of Tennessee.

Hairston was indicted for first-degree fleeing or evading police, two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
