A road rage incident resulted in a single-vehicle wreck on the Pennyrile Parkway on Sunday.
The wreck occurred when Lisa Denton of Robards merged onto the northbound ramp of the parkway from Fort Campbell Boulevard. Denton reportedly told law enforcement that as she was merging a black Dodge pickup truck cut her off and brake checked her.
Denton says she sped up and got beside the truck. After catching up to him, Denton says she only reportedly remembers her car flipping onto its side in the median.
Law enforcement reviewed footage captured by Denton’s dash camera and reportedly found that she had ample space to merge behind the truck. After merging, Denton reportedly catches up to the truck and the driver brake checks her.
Denton eventually gets right beside the truck, passes it and then gets in front of it. As Denton was switching lanes she reportedly over corrected past the right lane and into an emergency lane striking a concrete bridge face. Denton’s car then swerved back across the northbound lanes and into the median before the car spun out and landed on the passenger’s side.
Contact was never made with the driver of the truck and Denton was transported to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for her injuries.
