Erick Hernandez and Jason Macario both scored hat tricks and the Hopkinsville Tigers rolled past host Heritage Christian Academy 10-0 in a boys’ District 8 soccer match Tuesday night.
The game ended at halftime on the mercy rule.
Alex Ramirez, Sebastian Klar, Ryan Elizalde, and Ayden Brison also had goals for the Tigers, who improved to 3-1-1 overall and 2-0 in district play.
It was the first game of the season for the Warriors, who only had enough players to have a team last week.
Raul Rivera earned the shutout in goal with four saves for the Tigers.
Hopkinsville is back in action tonight at Henderson County. HCA is scheduled to play Thursday night at home against Lyon County.
