Hoptown blanks Logan County in girls’ soccer

Hopkinsville had no shortage of offense Saturday as the Lady Tigers blasted host Logan County 6-0 in a girls’ high school soccer match.

Kaydon Coats had a hat trick and an assist and Emma Dearmond added a pair of goals and a pair of assists for the Lady Tigers.

Kaylyn Lynch added a goal.

Hopkinsville’s defense also was strong on the day led by goalie Jaleigha McFarland, who earned the shutout in goal.

In the JV match, Yadira Idrogo, Griffin Daniel, and McKinlie Lewis each scored and the Lady Tigers won 3-1. Aryana Brown had an assist.

Hopkinsville improves to 2-2 on the season and will play host to Fort Campbell Tuesday night in a District 8 match.
