CCHS Senior selected to serve on Kentucky Commissioner’s Student Advisory Council

Christian County High School Senior Lacey Paige will become the first local student to serve on the Kentucky Commissioner’s Student Advisory Council.

According to a news release, the council is composed of student leaders from across the state who will give feedback concerning issues affecting public schools. The council discusses issues such as safety, mental health, college and career preparedness and the importance of student input.

Council members will meet with the Kentucky Education Commissioner and Kentucky Department of Education staff.

Christian County Public School Superintendent Chris Bentzel says they are incredibly proud of Paige being selected to represent Christian County Public Schools at the state level. He also says this is an opportunity for Paige to positively impact students across the state.

Paige says she can’t wait to be a part of such an esteemed board of high-achieving individuals and represent the future of her generation.
