CCPS selects Sandra Hancock as academy coach for new high school

Sandra Hancock, who currently serves as the student transition coordinator for the Christian County Public School System, was selected to serve as an Academy Coach at the consolidated Christian County High School.

The Christian County School Board approved establishing academy coach positions at their July 17 meeting. An academy coach is responsible for supporting academy principals, maintaining partnerships with businesses and post-secondary institutions and ensuring the academy is in line with industry standards.

Consolidated CCHS Executive Principal Ken Carver is excited to welcome Hancock into her new role and says her leadership will help them connect students’ classroom learning with real-world experiences, opening doors to career and higher education opportunities.

Hancock began her education career with CCPS in 1997 and has served in multiple roles. Hancock says she is honored to accept the position of academy coach and looks forward to working with the community to increase meaningful experiences for their students.
