Nashville State Community College’s nursing program expands to Clarksville

Nashville State Community College’s nursing program is expanding to the institution’s Clarksville campus and is expected to launch in fall 2026.

The Tennessee Board of Nursing recently approved the development of a nursing instructional site at the college’s Clarksville campus. Construction is currently underway to expand the campus which will support the incoming nursing program.

College officials say the nursing program expansion will help meet the region’s need for healthcare professionals by providing local students access to nursing education closer to home. The Clarksville campus will be the third site to host the college’s nursing program.

School of Health Sciences Dean Donna Whitehouse says they are excited to bring the nursing program to Clarksville because it reflects their commitment to meet community and workforce needs.

Applications for the nursing program open on January 2, 2026 and close on June 1, 2026, there will be 24 spots available. Program classes are then expected to start in August 2026.
