A Murray man was badly injured in a single-vehicle crash in Calloway County Monday morning.
According to Kentucky State Police, it happened in the early morning hours on KY 94 East near the intersection of Knight Road. Preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Quincy Tobergte of Murray was heading east while he lost control of the vehicle, possibly due to tire failure.
The vehicle left the roadway and struck two parked vehicles and a utility pole, ejecting Tobergte from the vehicle—the vehicle came to a stop on top of him before catching fire.
Tobergte was pulled from the wreckage and transported to an out-of-state hospital for treatment of significant injuries.
KSP was assisted on scene by Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, Murray Police Department, Murray-Calloway County EMS, Calloway County Fire-Rescue, and AirEvac Lifeteam.
