It wasn’t the season opener the Christian County Colonels’ soccer team was hoping for as visiting Franklin-Simpson grabbed a 6-0 victory Monday night at the Stadium of Champions.
The Wildcats led 4-0 at the half and added a pair of second-half goals.
Preston Gentry had 12 saves in goal for the Colonels, who are playing their final season before consolidating next season with Hopkinsville High School.
Christian County (0-1) will return to play Thursday night at home against Caldwell County.
