Police arrest Hopkinsville woman for burglary following disturbance

A local woman is facing a felony burglary charge following investigation into a disturbance on Boxwood Drive early Sunday morning.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Boxwood for reports of a disturbance where a woman had armed herself with a knife around 12:30 a.m. Upon arrival, contact was made with 18-year-old Aniya Manning of Hopkinsville, who told officers she had gone to the residence to find an individual who wasn’t answering the phone.

That’s where she reportedly found the male victim in a vehicle with another person—she became angry and thing became physical briefly, before she ran into the residence and armed herself with a knife.

She was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary.
