TVA invites educators to apply for STEM program awards

To support STEM projects and programs for children, the Tennessee Valley Authority is inviting educators to apply for its 2025 STEM Education Awards.

The TVA is prepared to provide $1.5 million to fund STEM projects at schools in its seven-state coverage region. In 2018, the TVA began partnering with Bicentennial Volunteers Inc., a TVA retiree organization, to support STEM projects and programs in schools. Since the program began, the TVA has awarded over $8 million in STEM awards, supporting more than 730,000 students from kindergarten through 12th grade.

TVA President Don Moul says students will shape the future of the TVA region, and now more than ever, the organization wants to support and encourage STEM education to ensure the region’s workforce is prepared to provide reliable energy for the next generation.

Educators can apply for the chance to win up to $5,000 and can learn more about the program at tva.com/STEM. The application period closes on September 15.
