With the start of the 2025 high school soccer season only a few weeks away, Heritage Christian Academy is putting out an “all call” for players.
HCA Athletic Director Candy Hayes told WHOP on Wednesday evening that the team needs four to five players to be able to field a team this season.
“We need 12 players and right now we have between seven and nine,” she said.
The school is having an open house on Monday and Tuesday night and Hayes said a table will be set up for prospective athletes in not only soccer, but other sports as well. She encourages anyone who wants to play sports this year at HCA to visit the table and register.
The Warriors’ soccer team is a coed team and Hayes said any student entering seventh grade to senior is eligible to play this fall.
HCA already has dropped out of the Kentucky Christian Athletic Conference Soccer Tournament, which was scheduled for Aug. 12 at Foundation Christian.
The deadline for the school to decide if they can have a team this fall is Aug. 15, according to Hayes.
Anyone interested in playing soccer for HCA this fall also is encouraged to email Hayes at c.hayes@hcahopkinsville.org or contact Warriors Head Coach Lloyd Young.
