Crofton woman injured in William Lile Road collision

A Crofton woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on William Lile Road.

According to the collision report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle operated by 36-year-old Tabitha Stokes of Crofton was traveling eastbound on William Lile Road when she attempted to make room for an approaching vehicle that was heading west. That’s when she dipped off the road into a ditch, before correcting to get back onto the roadway.

That’s when the two vehicles swiped each other, causing damage to both.  When the collision happened, Stokes’ side-mirror reportedly shattered and glass flew into her face, hitting her eye.

Stokes was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries to her eye.

Everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt.
