Police arrest Hopkinsville man following bicycle theft

Hopkinsville Police arrested 56-year-old Curtis McGee of Hopkinsville after he reportedly stole a bicycle from a home on Saturday.

Officers responded to a residence on Clay Street for a theft in progress. At the scene, the victim’s bicycle was stolen and they were assaulted by the suspect. The victim was reportedly struck in the face and suffered a busted lip.

After talking with officers, the victims reportedly confirmed that McGee was the suspect. Officers found the bicycle in McGee’s truck in a parking lot on East 9th Street.
