Kentucky State Police have released more information about a fatal crash that happened on I-169 in Christian County Sunday afternoon.
According to a news release, preliminary investigation has revealed that a vehicle was parked in the northbound shoulder, where 32-year-old Krystin Bowling of Ohio, was standing outside of the vehicle and securing her luggage.
At the same moment, a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Jeffery Calhoun of Madisonville was heading northbound on the Parkway. For an unknown reason, Calhoun’s vehicle travelled towards the parked car, and struck Bowling.
Bowling was declared deceased at the scene by the Christian County Coroner.
