To test Fort Campbell’s emergency preparedness, military personnel and first responders will be conducting a full-scale response exercise on Wednesday and Thursday.
Fort Campbell annually hosts the exercise and Installation Emergency Manager Wayne Nims says it gives leaders an assessment tool to ensure they are always prepared to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and ensure the community’s safety.
During the exercise, Fort Campbell residents might see an increase in military and civilian first responders. Drivers might also come across detour signs during the exercise.
