Boafo named cross country coach at HHS, CCHS

Hopkinsville and Christian County high schools have a new cross country coach just in time for the 2025 season.

In a news release from Christian County Public Schools District Activities Director Kerry Stovall and Hopkinsville High School Athletic Director Jacob Ezell, sent to local media on Friday afternoon, it was announced that Kwesi Boafo was hired as the new coach for both teams.

Boafo has a master’s degree in biology and more than two years a physiotherapy assistant. The press release says Boafo brings a unique blend of medical knowledge, practical experience in human performance, and a successful background as a collegiate athlete to the program.

“”This is a very exciting hire for both Christian County and Hopkinsville high schools,” said Ezell. “Coach Boafo brings a passion for the sport and commitment to student growth on and off the field. His firsthand experience as a runner, combined with his background in physical training and injury prevention, brings a valuable perspective to our athletes.”
