Christmas in July takes over Hopkinsville Sportsplex

The Hopkinsville Sportsplex was filled to the brim with regional vendors and eager shoppers for Saturday’s fifth annual Christmas in July Vendor and Craft Fair.

Christmas in July began as a way to spotlight regional crafters and small businesses while bringing more people to the sportsplex during the slower summer months. It also offers a chance for folks to get a head start on holiday shopping and some one-of-a-kind gifts.

Assistant Programming Coordinator Jason Wells, says they had around 80 vendors set up and saw a steady number of shoppers.

The fair included vendors selling woodwork crafts, clothing, jewelry, sweet treats and much more. Wells says he enjoys helping host the vendor fair because it’s a chance for the sportsplex to support local businesses.

For those who missed out on Christmas in July, don’t worry because the Holiday Hoopla Vendor and Craft Fair will be coming back to the sportsplex in October.
