The Hoptown Hoppers continue their four-game home stand tonight as they will play host to the third-place Henderson Flash at Christian County High School’s Colonel Field.
The Hoppers used a strong pitching performance from Heath Henley to defeat the visiting Fulton Railroaders 4-0 Sunday night and halt a two-game losing streak.
Henley pitched a complete game and scattered seven hits in in the win.
Myles Denton had a two-run single as part of a four-run Hoppers’ eighth inning. Dom Bello and Zach Hampton also had an RBI in the inning.
Owen Hutcheson had a double as part of Hoptown’s four-hit attack. Konner Scheidt and Chance Sweeney also had hits for Hoptown.
Henley improved to 1-2 on the season and lowered his ERA to 2.77. Hoptown needed Henley’s performance Sunday after dropping a 17-2 decision to Full Count Friday and a 10-2 game to Paducah on Saturday night.
The Hoppers improved to 11-18 on the season while Fulton fell to 14-15.
Tonight’s game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Airtime will be 6:15 p.m. on 95.3 The Farm and 953thefarm.com.
