It’s almost time to celebrate Independence Day, and Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation is inviting the community to Red, White and Ooooh, their fireworks extravaganza on Friday.
The party gets started at 7 p.m. at Ruff Park in Hopkinsville, with Programs Coordinator Jacob Gibson saying there will be music, food and drink vendors and bouncers for the kids.
The fireworks are being put on by Pyro Shows, Inc. and Gibson says that the extravaganza will get started promptly at 9:15 p.m. that evening.
He says there will be plenty of places to park to enjoy the show, and he thinks it will be a show that everyone will enjoy.
Hopkinsville isn’t the only one hosting patriotic events—Pembroke Baptist Church will play host to Fireworks at Dark on July 3rd, with prizes, ice cream, bouncers, food trucks and more from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. in Pembroke.
Elkton’s July 3rd on the Square takes over Elkton Thursday evening in Todd County, and Lake Barkley State Resort Park will have their Festival and Fireworks starting at 3 p.m. and then the fireworks will light up the night sky at dark on the lake.
Fort Campbell’s Fourth of July Fest will take place Friday starting at 4 p.m., with fireworks at 10 p.m.—the carnival rides open at 1 p.m. and then it’s a full day of events before Blanco Brown takes the stage at 7 p.m., opening for the headline act of Flo-Rida.
Casey Jones Distillery on Witty Lane will be hosting their Red, White and Booze event, starting Thursday and going through Saturday night, with family-friendly events, live music, food trucks and much more.
