Two charged with criminal child abuse in Hopkinsville

Two Hopkinsville residents have been charged with criminal child abuse after a small child was allegedly found alone, knocking on doors in the neighborhood.

According to the report from the Hopkinsville police report, officers responded to the 2800 block of Victory Drive on Sunday for reports that a young child was knocking on doors on nearby residences. Officers located the child and then found the child’s father in a nearby home, who was reportedly did not know where the child was or where he had been.

This is reportedly the second time a similar incident has occurred. A search of the home revealed what the reports call ‘deplorable’ conditions, placing the child and another child at risk of physical injury.

Police arrested 43-year-old Charles Greathouse and charged him with second-degree criminal abuse and third-degree criminal abuse, against a child under the age of 12, along with 38-year-old Tabatha Sisk on a third-degree criminal abuse charge.
