Local high school graduate elected to Kentucky FFA State Office

New officers were elected to Kentucky FFA State Office for the 2025-26 term on Thursday, and among the 12 new faces is Hopkinsville High School graduate Mollie Goode.

Goode is a 2025 graduate of Hopkinsville High School and will be attending Murray State University in the fall. Goode was elected to serve as the Pennyrile State FFA Vice President.

Goode’s father was an FFA adviser for around 27 years and she says she basically grew up in agriculture classrooms and knew she wanted to join FFA, but was initially a little intimidated by the responsibilities of those in the program.

However, people around Goode were FFA members and she says she saw them grow into confident leaders which fueled her desire to join her high school’s chapter.

By continuing FFA at the state level, Goode wants to become a better leader and advocate which will help her with pursuing her goals in and out of college. At Murray State, Goode in planning on majoring in agriculture business and minoring in political science. Looking toward a career, Goode wants to be able to spotlight the obstacles farmers are facing and connect them to resources.

For her vice president campaign, Goode says she attended many events and went through around five rounds of interviews. Now elected, Goode says she will be representing FFA and visiting agriculture classes and programs across the Pennyrile region.

Goode is excited to serve in the position and says she looks forward to helping shape the upcoming year of Kentucky FFA.

Goode will serve as Pennyrile State vice president until June 2026.
