Following the success of the Merry Little Market, local vendors, small business owners and shoppers are invited back to the Clayton Building for the Summer Market starting this Saturday.
Market organizer and the owner of Starbird Gourmet Popcorn and So Much More, Patty Cooper says folks enjoyed the holiday market so she decided to bring it back and with the warm weather she looks forward to seeing an increase in foot traffic.
On some Saturday’s the vendor market will coincide with the Downtown Farmers Market which is down the street at Founder’s Square.
The vendor market will take over the Clayton Building each Saturday during the summer and Cooper says they are also planning to possibly open on Friday’s as well. Right now, she says she is on the search for vendors, food trucks and nonprofits who want to sell goods or spotlight their services.
Cooper is excited to invite people back to the Clayton Building and says the vendor market will be one of many places for folks to visit in downtown on the weekends.
This upcoming Saturday, Starbird Gourmet Popcorn and So Much More; Beautiful Baskets, Gifts and More; woodworking by Carly Smith, Shea’s by Chelle’ and More; Chime Craft; Nana’s Dirty Soda and Kayla’s Cookies will be at the Clayton Building from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Vendor spots cost $25 per day, and two-day spots for a Friday and Saturday will cost around $40. Indoor and outdoor areas are available and those interested in setting up can contact Cooper at 270-305-3008.
