The City of Oak Grove will be rolling out the barrels this coming July, with the return of the Kentucky Bands, Bourbon and Wine Festival.
It all takes place on July 12 from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Oak Grove War Memorial Walking Trail Park at 101 Walter Garrett Lane, where there will be live music, regional spirits and brews, unique offerings of wine and also some competitive activities.
That includes the debut of the new Barrel Race Relay Race, where teams will compete to roll barrels across the finish line for not just bragging rights, but also prizes. There are also tentative plans for a car show this year, with information pending.
Attendees—along with enjoy regional wines and bourbons—will be able to enjoy live music throughout the events, along with food from local food trucks that will be on site.
Admission and parking is free, and Oak Grove Tourism Executive Director Traci Cunningham says, “Our festival continues to grow each year, and we’re excited to offer something for everyone – whether you’re a music lover, bourbon, wine, or beer enthusiast, car fan, or just looking for a great time with friends and family Oak Grove has it.”
