Oak Grove Police arrested 47-year-old Tyler Hansen of Long Beach, Mississippi after he reportedly waved a firearm at passing cars on Monday.
At around 7 p.m. officers were dispatched to an area near Thompsonville Lane for reports of a man waving a gun at passing cars. Officers stopped a car matching the given description and made contact with Hansen and he was reportedly impaired.
Officers conducted a sobriety test on Hansen and found that he was reportedly too intoxicated to be driving. A search of Hansen’s vehicle and person reportedly unveiled marijuana, open containers of alcohol, an invalid driver’s license and a handgun.
Hansen was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol third offense, possession of an open alcohol beverage in a car, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and having no operator’s license.
