The Hopkinsville Salvation Army is offering eviction prevention assistance to those who are eligible in western Kentucky.
Assistance will be available on June 16, June 17 and June 18, and the support is aimed at residents who are currently behind on rent and have either received a landlord or a court-ordered eviction notice. It is available for families and residents in Christian, Todd, Trigg, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Caldwell, Lyon, Livingston and Crittenden counties.
Landlords are also encouraged to reach out if they are aware of tenants who need the help. The goal is to prevent evictions and help keep people in their homes.
Appointments are required—you can schedule one by calling 270-885-9633.
Lt. David Donegan says, “We understand that one missed paycheck or unexpected bill can set someone back. Our goal is to help stabilize families during this critical moment and prevent homelessness before it starts.”
