Former Hopkinsville High School baseball player Gavin Powell will play college baseball at Rend Lake College.
Powell told WHOP Sports Thursday afternoon he had committed to the school last fall. The pitcher/shortstop will play for the Hoptown Hoppers this summer.
Powell hit .359 and had a 3.06 ERA this season for the Tigers.
