Defending KHSAA State Softball Tournament champion and No. 2-ranked Henderson County got a walk-off home run from Anna Kemp in the bottom of the eighth inning to defeat No. 13 Livingston Central 5-4 Wednesday night in the Region 2 Softball Tournament at Webster County.
Former Christian County High School player Saniya Shields had a grand slam for Henderson in the bottom of the third to tie the game at 4-4.
Henderson advances to play either North Laurel or Jackson County in the first round of the state tournament next week in Lexington.
