400 Mile Yard Sale highlights the treasures of local communities, set to start June 5

Soon enough, folks will be driving up and down U.S. 68 in Kentucky, on the hunt for treasures and deals, as the 400 Mile Yard Sale is set to take place the first full weekend in June.

The 400 Mile Yard Sale is an annual event that brings thousands of people to the region from across the nation, and it’s a yearly tradition for a lot of shoppers. Organizer Tara Hall says there’s still time to get your yard sale, or barn sale, or even garage sale on the map—just get registered on 400mile.com.

The sale stretches the length of U.S. 68 across the Commonwealth and there will be more booths, vendors and trucks than you can count set up along the path.

Hall urges folks to get off the Bypass and get down into the communities that will welcome you with open arms—that’s where you’ll find the real bargains.

She says the 400 Mile Yard Sale is really about more than just the sales though—it’s about finding your new favorite place to eat, meeting the people that call these communities home and making good memories.

A map of other yard sales and events can be found online at 400mile.com. Motorists are reminded to use caution while out driving this weekend and to keep an eye out for slow moving vehicles or pedestrians in the roadway who are seeking out the bargains.
