The Challenge House Movement was grateful to receive a donation from the Hopkinsville 100 Women Who Care group Tuesday afternoon.
100 Women Who Care is an international initiative that invites women to engage in their communities and work to benefit their local nonprofits. The Hopkinsville chapter of the nonprofit has been active since November 2022 and has already worked to benefit, multiple nonprofits.
In Hopkinsville there are six Challenge Houses that provide youth and community outreach services such as after school tutoring, snack programs, jobs and skills training, their annual AT&T (Attitude, Training and Teamwork) Program and much more.
So, it was a match made in heaven between the two, and on Tuesday, 100 Women Who Care presented Challenge House with a check in the amount of $13,400.
The grant money will be used to put a new roof on one of the Challenge House locations, along with helping fund the annual feeding program the non-profit hosts that feeds over 15,000 snacks to inner-city youth.
