Murray State, WKU to play in Oxford Regional

Former Hopkinsville High School baseball pitcher Preston Chaudoin and the Murray State Racers will be the No. 4 seed in the Oxford Regional and will play top seed Ole Miss Friday in the first round of the NCAA Baseball Tournament.

Murray (39-13) will play the Rebels at 7 p.m. on Friday. It is only the fourth time in school history that the Racers have made the NCAA Baseball Tournament and the first time since 2003.

Meanwhile, Western Kentucky is the No. 3 seed and will play No. 2 seed Georgia Tech at 3 p.m. Friday. The Hilltoppers are 46-12 this season and are making their first postseason appearance in 16 years.
