The Region 2 Softball Tournament will begin at 11 a.m. today at Webster County High School with defending state champion and District 6 winner Henderson County (28-6) taking on University Heights Academy (5-8).
The second game, which will start around 1 p.m., features District 5 champion Trigg County (22-13) against District 7 runner-up Madisonville-North Hopkins (23-10-1).
In the bottom portion of the bracket, District 7 champion Caldwell County (16-14) will play District 6 runner-up Union County (19-15) at 3 p.m., followed by Christian County (22-13) against District 5 runner-up and All “A” State Tournament champion Livingston Central (23-6) around 5 p.m.
The semifinals are scheduled for 6 and 8 p.m. on Tuesday and the championship is set for 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
