The National Weather Service in Nashville has been working hard to conduct surveys following severe weather on Tuesday, and have determined that two tornadoes touched down in Clarksville.
According to the report, two tornadoes, both currently rated at EF-0 strength, touched down in Clarksville, one in the north Clarksville area near Exit One. That tornado had estimated peak winds of 75 miles per hour, with a maximum width of 100 yards and it was on the ground for roughly 10 miles before lifting.
The second tornado, also rated EF-0, was in south Clarksville in the Sango area, crossing Highway 41-A. It had estimated peak winds of 85 miles per hour with a maximum width of 200 yards and was on the ground for just over three miles.
Luckily no one was injured in Clarksville during Tuesday’s severe weather, though both tornadoes resulted in damage to trees and minor damage to houses.
