Festival season is about to get into full swing, starting with Oak Grove’s Spring Into Summer Salutes Fort Campbell event this weekend.
Scarlet Mayfield with the Oak Grove Tourism Commission says the two-day celebration kicks off on Saturday with gates opening at 12 p.m. and people will be in store for a ton of stage shows, including live otters, balloon artists, a parachute drop, bubble zones, carnival rides, and much more, before Brantley Gilbert takes the stage at 7 p.m.
All events, including the concert, are free to attend, though Mayfield says they’ll have plenty of vendors and food trucks on hand, so make sure you bring a little money to shop.
Gates will close at 9 p.m. Saturday night, but they’ll open right back up Sunday at noon and stay open until 6 p.m.
This year, there will also be a drone light show that will light up the night sky, in a showing that you don’t typically see. Officials ask that outside alcohol and pets be kept at home.
This all takes place at 101 Walter Garrett Lane in Oak Grove, and Mayfield says they have a company again this year that will help keep parking in line, cutting down on traffic and wait times.
