A Christian County Grand Jury issued indictments for attempted murder, complicity to robbery and fleeing crimes on Friday.
Forty-three-year-old Carlo Jones of Hopkinsville was indicted on multiple charges after he reportedly strangled an officer following a traffic stop on March 12. Jones was indicted on attempted murder of a police officer, first-degree strangulation, third-degree assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, menacing and improper passing.
Twenty-year-old Kentrell Pettus of Hopkinsville was indicted on complicity to first-degree robbery and second-degree burglary after he was reportedly involved in an incident where a victim was assaulted, threatened with a gun and had $2,200 stolen from them on March 14.
Forty-one-year-old Lamonte Barnes of Evansville, Indiana, was indicted on multiple charges after he reportedly led law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit in March. Barnes was indicted for first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, operating a vehicle on a suspended license, operating a vehicle while under the influence of a substance, possession of marijuana, possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a car and other traffic offenses.
Thirty-three-year-old Quintez Jewell of Memphis, Tennessee, was indicted on multiple charges after he and another person fled from law enforcement as they were investigating reports concerning drug dealing on March 23. Jewell was indicted on second-degree fleeing or evading police, three counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Then, 21-year-old Omega Plaisime of Clarksville was indicted on tampering with a prisoner monitoring device, second-degree criminal mischief and public intoxication after he was reportedly found intoxicated with a damaged ankle monitor on March 9. Plaisime is also charged with murder in connection with the 2022 shooting death of 18-year-old Gailon Toler.
