Tilghman shuts down Lady Colonels’ bats in 6-1 win

Paducah Tilghman pitching limited the Christian County offense to five hits and defeated the host Lady Colonels 6-1 Thursday night in a high school softball game.

After the Lady Colonels took a 1-0 lead after the first inning when Avery Adcock stole home, the Lady Tornado scored two in the second and fourth and added solo runs in the third and fifth.

Jordan Turner suffered the pitching loss for Christian County. The sophomore struck out two and walked four through seven innings.

Jayda Turner led the Lady Colonels, going 2-for-3 at the plate.

Christian County falls to 17-14 and is scheduled to play host to Russellville tonight.
