Franklin-Simpson rallied from a late inning deficit to defeat University Heights Academy 7-5 Thursday in a high school baseball.
UHA had taken a 5-3 lead into the bottom of the fifth inning. The Blazers committed an error to begin the bottom of the fifth and the Wildcats used a pair of hits and sacrifice bunt to tie the game 5-5.
In the bottom of the sixth, after a walk, Jaiden Miles struck out the first two batters, but walked the next batter and then a hit batter load the bases. A two-out, two-run single gave the Wildcats a 7-5 advantage.
Cadence Gibson went 2-for-3 with three RBI to lead the Blazers. Miles and Eli Finch each had a double for UHA, which fell to 16-10 on the season. UHA is scheduled to play host to McCracken County tonight.
