Western Kentucky did not escape damage during Friday’s severe weather, with numerous accounts of high winds, hail and an apparent tornado in Todd County.
Todd County Emergency Management confirmed to WHOP News that a likely tornado touched down on Blue Hole Road in Elkton and completely leveled some chicken houses and a trailer. There was no word on any injuries, blessedly.
There were numerous tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Pennyrile Electric and Hopkinsville Electric System reported widespread power outages due to the severe weather.
The National Weather Service will conduct surveys in the coming days.
