Heritage Christian Academy tennis player Stephen Whitecotton has moved into the semifinals of the Boys’ Region 2 Tennis Tournament after winning 6-0, 6-0 quarterfinal match on Tuesday in Henderson County.
He is scheduled to meet Henderson’s Jaxton Duncan at 2 p.m. today. Duncan defeated Whitecotton 6-1, 6-4 last week.
Tuesday’s win also qualifies Whitecotton for the state tennis tournament in Lexington later this month.
