The 2025 high school tennis season ended Monday afternoon for the University Heights Academy girls’ tennis players at the Region 2 Tournament at Henderson County High School.
The doubles team of Ashton Grace and Emily Davis advanced to the quarterfinals of the region tournament. The Lady Blazers’ duo defeated Webster County’s Kelsey Hanor and Anna Dunn 6-4, 6-2.
Grace and Davis saw their tournament run end in the quarterfinals as they fell to defending region champion Kylie DeMoss and Carolina Lovvorn, of Madisonville-North Hopkins, 6-0, 6-0.
Stella Del Valle nearly advanced to the quarterfinals before falling in a tiebreaker 1-6, 6-3 (0-1) to Webster County’s Leah Herron.
UHA’s Allie Sandifer saw her run in the region tournament end in the round of 16 as she fell to Madisonville’s Addysen Raymer 6-4, 6-4.
