Police arrest suspect for driving into crowd, injuring a woman

Hopkinsville Police arrested Mark Ware Friday night after he intentionally drove into a crowd of people, resulting in a woman being injured. 

According to Hopkinsville Police Department Public Information Officer Colette Marfil, Ware was driving on East 18th Street when he intentionally drove through a crowd of people. Afterward, Ware attempted to leave the scene, but was stopped by witnesses. 

Willie Haskins was struck by Ware’s car and had to be flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. She is reportedly in stable condition. 

Ware was charged with four counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree assault, three counts of first-degree criminal mischief, operating a vehicle under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, having no registration plates and failure to maintain insurance.
