Heritage Christian Academy came out on the short end of a pitcher’s duel Thursday night as the Warriors fell to host Community Christian Academy 2-1 in a high school baseball game.
Community Christian, which had only two hits on the night, scored runs in the bottom of the fifth and sixth to take a 2-0 lead.
Collin Outland doubled to lead off the seventh for the Warriors (6-15). After advancing to third on a ground out, Outland scored on a ground out by Lawson Clark. But that was all the offense the Warriors could muster.
HCA managed just three hits on the night. Cadyn Travis and Caden Gresham each had a single.
Aaron Hensley suffered the pitching loss despite striking out three and allowing only one hit through five innings.
The Warriors are scheduled to play host to Crittenden County tonight.
