Mayfield had 16 hits and cruised past host Heritage Christian Academy 14-0 Tuesday night in a high school softball game.
It was a tough day in the field and at the plate for the Lady Warriors, who slipped to 6-9 on the season.
Mayfield used five-run innings in the third and fourth frames to blow open a close game and take a 13-0 advantage. A run in the top of the fifth made the score 14-0.
Meanwhile, HCA struggled at the plate with only four hits. Two of those came from Hadlee Hayes. Madison Warren and Avery DeJager had the other two singles for HCA.
The two teams are scheduled to meet again Friday in Mayfield.
