Bobby Love named Calloway High School Principal

A man with strong Hopkinsville ties will take over as the principal at Calloway County High School on July 1.

Bobby Love, the son of the late WHOP News Director Jim Love, will take over the position being vacated by Steve Smith, who is set to retire at the end of this school year. Love served as an assistant principal at Calloway County High School for four years. He has experience in special education and physical education with Christian, Marshall and Fayette counties.

Love says, “I am grateful to Mr. Settle and the selection committee for the opportunity to serve as the next principal of CCHS. When I came here three years ago, I said I began my career as a student teacher in Calloway County and I wanted to end my career in Calloway County. At the time, I did not know I would have the privilege of ending my career as principal of Calloway County High School.”
