Christian County rallied from a 5-2 deficit and defeated host Crittenden County 7-5 Monday night in a high school softball game.
The Lady Colonels showed some power against the Lady Rockets. Avery Adcock had a triple and a home run and Alondra Rodriguez slammed a homer and drove in two runs for the Lady Colonels. Jazzy Tejada and Katie Smith each had a double.
Crittenden led 5-2 entering the top of the fifth inning. Christian County cut the lead to 5-4 on Rodriguez’s two-run homer that scored Adcock.
In the sixth, Chloe Almy’s two-out, two-run single scored Alexis Epps and Adock for a 6-5 lead. An error allowed Almy to score the final run.
Alyssa Petterson earned the pitching win in relief of Jordan Turner. Epps picked up the save.
The Lady Colonels improved to 15-12 on the season and will play Murray at home today.
