Ky. Commonwealth’s Attorney Mike Stacy killed in Hickman County crash

Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal crash in Hickman County that resulted in the death of Mike Stacy, the Commonwealth’s Attorney for the 1st Circuit.

According to a news release, troopers responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision in the 3000 block of U.S. 51 in the Clinton community of Hickman County right after 3:20 p.m. Preliminary investigation revealed that the 68-year-old Stacy of Kevil, was operating a vehicle northbound when the vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck a tree. 

Stacy was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

A passenger in the vehicle, 30-year-old Michael “Bo” Stacy was transported by helicopter to an out of state hospital, where he is in stable condition. Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.

Stacy was the Commonwealth’s Attorney for the 1st Circuit, which includes Ballard, Carlisle, Fulton and Hickman counties.
