The Christian County Sheriff’s Department has charged a woman following a vehicle pursuit in the Oak Grove area on April 22.
According to a news release, deputies observed two vehicles who were backed into a wooded area near Carter Road and Barkers Mill Road around 7 p.m. on April 22. When deputies approached, both vehicles fled the scene at a high rate of speed, sparking a pursuit.
That pursuit went into Clarksville—one of the vehicles was ultimately stopped on Tiny Town Road in Clarksville. The driver of that vehicle, 23-year-old Jordyn Purcell, reportedly admitted to feeling due to recent marijuana use, which was found during a search.
Purcell was extradited to the Christian County Jail, where she was charged with speeding, reckless driving, first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Further arrests are expected in connection with the pursuit.
