UHA’s George excited to be part of Kentucky Junior All-Star Team

University Heights Academy junior guard Tylin George has been selected for the Kentucky Junior All-Star Team that will take on Indiana’s All-Stars later this summer.

George, a 6-foot-5 guard, averaged 31.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per game last season for the Blazers.

“It just shows that my hard work is paying off,” George said Saturday morning. “It’s good competition, some good players and the best players from Kentucky. I’m looking forward to the chance to play against them.”

George has reclassified to the 2027 class for his AAU team, but will be a senior next season at UHA.

DeAaron Watkins, of Daviess County, is the only other western Kentucky player on the roster.

Also on the team is Madison Central’s Jake Feldhaus, the son of former Kentucky and Mason County star Deron Feldhaus.

The rest of the Junior All-Star Team includes Jailyn Craine (Caverna), Jacob Spurlock (Boyd County), Jagger Mardis (LaRue County), James Turner (Newport), Amari Owens (Lexington Bryan Station), Jeremiah Jackson (Louisville Trinity), Leek Ateny (Danville Christian), DeMarcus Surratt (Frederick Douglass), and Seth Caudill (Hazard).

The Kentucky Girls’ All-Star Team also was announced on Friday.

Others members of the girls’ team include Ashlinn James (Assumption), Teigh Yeast (George Rogers Clark), Brianna Wilkins (Sacred Heart), Jaelyn Jones (Ryle), Keziah Renee (Butler), Addyson Brissey (Cooper), Abby Reitzel (Mercy), Madison Young (South Oldham), Emma Holtzapfel (Notre Dame), Destiny Scott (North Hardin), Haylie Webb (Simon Kenton), and Isabella Jayasuriya (Campbell County).
