A Hopkinsville man has been federally indicted for distributing methamphetamine.
According to the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky, 41-year-old Tommy Powers of Hopkinsville has been indicted on two counts of distributing over 50 grams of methamphetamine in Christian County, stemming from incidents in October of 2014 and October of 2024.
Powers has been detained pending trial. If convicted, he faces a mandatory minimum sentence of ten years, or a maximum sentence of life in prison.
There is no parole in the federal system.
The case is being investigated by the DEA Paducah Post of Duty Office, the ATF Bowling Green Field Office, and the Hopkinsville Police Department.
