University Heights Academy Athletics Director Taylor Sparks told WHOP on Sunday evening that the school’s new boys’ basketball coach would be introduced around 9:45 a.m. today.
The search committee met with five candidates last Wednesday and one candidate was hired over the weekend.
Sparks said the new coach will be meeting with players at the school at 9:30 a.m. today. Following his meeting with the team, the new coach will meet with media.
Sparks said of the five candidates interviewed, three had UHA connections and two were from out of town.
The new coach will take over for Terry Hayes, who resigned following the 2024-25 season after two seasons at the helm of the Blazers.
